One library. More ways to learn.
A member learning platform that connects reading, listening, and watching with protected content, one account, and a publishing workflow.
The problem.
The goal was to bring IT Revolution’s ebooks, audiobooks, research papers and journal PDFs, conference videos, and immersion courses into one member platform. People needed to find material and move between reading, listening, and watching with one account, while staff needed a practical way to maintain the catalog.
Protecting ebooks and audiobooks was a core requirement from day one. The platform needed DRM-protected reading and listening experiences that could replace the previous e-reader service, alongside membership access and staff publishing.
What I built.
I brought those formats together in a connected member experience. My work spanned product architecture, interface design, content ingestion, protected ebook and audiobook delivery, accounts, memberships, billing, and publishing operations. I directed AI coding agents through much of the implementation, with product direction and the membership model developed with IT Revolution leadership.
The platform connects the existing video library and courses with books and papers. It includes search across books, papers, and talks; a glossary comparing authors’ definitions; learning paths that combine chapters, papers, and talks; personal lists; an AI-assistant connector; and team access. For staff, the publishing desk takes a title from supplied files to publication.
The decisions that matter.
Make the content work together
Connect books, audio, research, videos, and courses through one account, search, and learning paths.
Make protection a starting requirement
Build controlled ebook and audio experiences into the product rather than treating content protection as an add-on.
Build the publishing side too
Give staff a workflow for taking supplied files into the library, alongside the member experience.
The result.
IT Revolution has a member platform for ebooks, audiobooks, research papers and journals, conference talks, and immersion courses in one account. It replaced the previous e-reader service, with protected reading and listening built into the platform.
In early November 2026, the invitation-only member beta connected a catalog of about 220 titles—including about 35 audiobooks—with the video library, courses, team access, and staff publishing. Members can search across books, papers, and talks, create personal lists, and follow learning paths that combine different kinds of material.
